SALISBURY, Md. – The second-ranked Salisbury University men's lacrosse team clinched the Coastal Lacrosse Conference's (CLC) first-ever automatic qualifier to reach its 36th consecutive and 42nd overall NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament, officially unveiled by the NCAA on Sunday evening.
The Sea Gulls will host the second and third rounds of the bracket beginning Saturday, May 10th, facing the winner of a first-round clash between St. Mary's (Md.) and Pfeiffer at 3:30 p.m. Following SU's intro to the 2025 dance, 16th-ranked (NPI) Dickinson and 17th-ranked Denison will do battle inside Sea Gull Stadium at 6:30 p.m.
Salisbury completed its second straight and 16th overall unbeaten regular season in 2025, posting a 17-0 record before cruising by Stockton in the conference semifinal and fending off fourth-ranked Christopher Newport in an overtime thriller to claim the CLC title on Sunday.
St. Mary's (Md.) earned a first-round bye in the United East tournament before rolling to a 21-8 triumph over Penn College to secure an automatic bid to the Big Dance. The Seahawks hold a 9-7 record with wins in each of their conference battles during the regular season.
Pfeiffer claimed the USA South title and AQ with an 18-3 win over Methodist on Saturday. The Falcons enter the tournament with a 15-3 overall record including an undefeated 8-0 tally in conference play.
Dickinson secured an upset of ninth-ranked Gettysburg in the Centennial Conference title game to earn the league's automatic selection to the bracket. The Red Devils enter the tourney on a six-game win streak, touting a 13-5 overall record including a 7-1 tally in Centennial action.
Denison was granted an at-large bid to the tournament after falling to Ohio Wesleyan in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championship, 13-10. The Big Red enter with a 13-6 overall record and a 7-1 NCAC tally.
Fans can rent a Sea Gull Stadium suite to be used for all NCAA men's and women's lacrosse games in 2025 for $1,500 with tickets sold separately. Single-game purchases for the men's tournament are also available for $450, while suites for individual women's tournament matchups can be purchased for $300.
