2025
The CLC enjoyed its first automatic qualification to the NCAA Tournament following the mandated two-year waiting period. Salisbury earned the league's first AQ by winning its third CLC title, and CNU earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. Salisbury advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals and CNU to the NCAA Third Round. Montclair State departed the CLC upon the conclusion of the 2025 season.

2024
Warren Wilson College joined as the CLC's seventh member. Salisbury earned the top seed in the CLC Tournament and its second conference title. Salisbury and CNU earned bids to the NCAA Tournament, both advancing to the NCAA quarterfinals.

2023
The six-team conference played its inaugural season in the spring of 2023. Salisbury earned the top seed in the first-ever CLC Tournament and won the first-ever conference title 9-4 over Christopher Newport. Salisbury and CNU earned bids to the NCAA Tournament. Salisbury won the national title with a 17-12 win over Tufts. CNU advanced to the NCAA semifinals.

2022
The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) and New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) announced the formation of the Coastal Lacrosse Conference, an NCAA Division III single-sport men's lacrosse conference, on July 26, 2022. The three NJAC men's lacrosse-sponsoring schools (Kean University, Montclair State University, Stockton University) joined three C2C men's lacrosse schools (Christopher Newport University, Salisbury University, University of Mary Washington). Chris Roekle (Commissioner, C2C) named CLC Commissioner, and Michelle Serabian (Assistant Commissioner, NJAC) named CLC Assistant Commissioner.
