Two standouts from Coastal Lacrosse Conference programs were recognized on the national stage this week as Stockton’s Colin Wagner and Salisbury’s Blake Malamphy were named to the USILA Division III Team of the Week.
Wagner, a junior attack from Birdsboro, Pa., powered Stockton to a 2–0 week with 10 points on eight goals and two assists. He opened the week with three goals and three ground balls in the Ospreys’ 16–9 victory over No. 19 Swarthmore. Wagner then erupted for a game-high seven points (five goals, two assists) while adding five ground balls in a win over New Paltz. His performance helped Stockton remain unbeaten on the season while continuing his strong start as one of the conference’s top offensive threats.
Malamphy, a senior faceoff specialist from Annapolis, Md., delivered a dominant showing at the X in Salisbury’s 10–7 victory over No. 4 York (Pa.). Malamphy won 17 of 20 faceoffs (.850) while collecting 11 ground balls and dishing out two assists. His efforts helped Salisbury control possession throughout the contest against one of the nation’s top-ranked opponents.
The USILA Division III Team of the Week recognizes the top individual performances from across the country each week during the regular season.
