The Coastal Lacrosse Conference has announced its weekly award winners for the week ending March 29, 2026.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JOE NOVAK • University of Mary Washington
Freshman • Attack • Frederick, Md. / St. John's Catholic Prep
Novak garners his first career CLC Offensive Player of the Week honor after a dominant performance in the Eagles' conference opener, a 14-7 victory over Kean on Saturday. The freshman attacker posted three goals — a new career high — and four assists, matching his career best, to finish with seven points on the day. He has now tallied five goals and 13 assists on the season. Novak currently ranks ninth in the CLC with 1.30 assists per game in his rookie campaign.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MASON BELLINGER • Christopher Newport University
Senior • Goalkeeper • Paramus, N.J. / Paramus High School
Bellinger has been named CLC Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season after tying his career high with 20 saves in Christopher Newport's 12-3 conference victory over Stockton on Saturday. His 20 stops represent the third-most by a Captain in program history — matching the total he recorded just seven days earlier against No. 14 Amherst — and he finished with a .909 save percentage in 48-plus minutes of work. Bellinger posted at least five saves in each of the first three quarters before exiting with CNU ahead by 10, helping hold the Ospreys to three goals, tied for the fewest allowed by a CNU opponent in four years. He currently leads the CLC in save percentage (.592) while sporting a 9.53 goals against average.
