The Coastal Lacrosse Conference has announced its weekly award winners for the week ending Feb. 9.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KEVIN MILLER • Christopher Newport University
Sophomore • Attack • Richmond, Va./Atlee
Miller collects the first CLC Offensive Player of the Week honor of the 2025 season. Miller established a pair of single-game school records during Christopher Newport's 24-8 victory over Hampden-Sydney in the season opener on Saturday. Against the Tigers, the sophomore registered 13 points, including eight assists. His 13 points topped the previous program standard of 11, which was set by current teammate Brett Jackson against Catholic on March 4, 2023. Meanwhile, his eight helpers bested the old school record of seven, which had been accomplished twice before. Along with his historic efforts, Miller also tied his career-high with five goals, including the game's first three tallies.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JEREMIAH STAFFORD • Salisbury University
Junior • Long-Stick Midfielder • Darien, Conn./Darien
Stafford is named the first CLC Defensive Player of the Week of the 2025 season. In an 8-6 win over Grove City, the junior logged a career-best six caused turnovers with a pair of ground balls for the second-ranked Sea Gulls. The career high in caused turnovers came one game after he posted a career-best seven ground balls in the season opener against Eastern. The long-stick mid has registered nine ground balls and caused eight turnovers in the season’s first two contests.
